Flowers, flowers everywhere!

As mentioned in my last post, my desk was overtaken with a garden of crochet flowers, all patiently waiting to be planted, once I had been hit by the 'inspiration stick'. With the aid of my new glue gun (oh how I love it. How did i live without this amazing piece of equipment for 60yrs? I constantly have to resist the urge to stick random things together!). 

It was a Christmas present from my daughter - in- law Sarah, and with some small blank canvases given to me by my youngest daughter Linzi, for Mothers day, the creation began.

And so the random pile of flowers and leaves, gradually came to life.

                                                                     


Not one...

Not two...

  



Not three...

But four little pictures.....

                                      They are going in the downstairs loo,

            to replace some very ancient tapestries that had definitely seen better days. 

               Hopefully the pastel shades will match the equally ageing wallpaper.

Here they are. Picture taken in artificial light, but I'm happy with them.

Now to make some more flowers. 

This time brightly coloured, summer blooms to put onto a larger canvas 

in our sunny, south-facing conservatory.
